Don Bacon goes mobile with his campaign, speaking at conferences, posting on social media, and meeting with his constituents. Bacon uses his platforms to discuss his beliefs and show his constituents what he stands for. He also uses social media to discuss hot-button topics and inform the public about what is happening in Congress. Bacon's social media platforms can also be used as a form of credit claiming.  His caption on his post from February 17  informed the public about an act he had joined: " We need to provide essential trainings to equip first responders on how to best address trafficking situations which is why I joined @RepKatCammack's  Human Trafficking Awareness Act." By using his social media to credit claim, Bacon is showing his constituents that he takes action in Congress and that those who vote for him are voting for his action. Bringing Home The Bacon!

  Don brought home the Bacon winning the 2022 election and plans to repeat his success in 2024. Bacon has been reelected to office every year since sworn into office in 2017. 2022 Election In 2022, Bacon beat out Tony Vargas, winning 51.3% of votes for Nebraska's second congressional district. Bacon had 112,663 votes, and Vargas had 106,807. In 2022, Bacon's campaign finance reported $3,919,223 in receipts, $3,990,001 in disbursements, and  $14,236 in cash on hand as of  December 31, 2022. 2024 Election Don Bacon will be running against fellow republican candidates Michael Connely and Dan Frei, as well as Democratic candidate Tony Vargas for Nebraska's second district congressional seat.         Don Bacon is the Representative from Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District! Located in the eastern portion of Nebraska, the 2nd district encompasses the heart of the Omaha Metro area. A hub of sports and art, Omaha is the 42nd largest city in the United States.  Cities in Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District While Omaha is the most notable city in Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, a list of cities includes Papillion, La Vista, Ralston, Springfield, Gretna, Elkhorn, Waterloo, Valley, and Bennington.     As you can see on the map's close-up, while most people in Nebraska's 2nd congressional district live in the city, there is a lot of farmland on the western side of the district. About Bacon

Biography Congressman Bacon grew up on a farm in Illinois. His childhood on a farm is one of the main reasons Bacon has worked so hard to represent farmers. After high school, Bacon attended Northern Illinois University. He graduated in 1984 with a bachelor's in political science. That same year, he married his loving wife, Angie. They now have 4 children together, along with 8 grandchildren.
